What is the Importance of Our Children's Meeting with Science at an Early Age?

Our Future Assurance Our Children

Children are our future. Our children are our doctors, teachers, engineers and scientists 20-30 years from now. While it is in our hands to shape our future, sitting down and criticizing the present does nothing but put our future at risk.

Research shows that most of the children turn to the professions they meet until the age of 14-15. If we want our children to deal with science and be interested in science, it is necessary to introduce them to experiment sets, laboratory materials and products at an early age.

In fact, people learn by experiencing life from the moment they are born. A 3-month-old baby cries as a natural reflex when he is hungry because he has no other way to express himself. However, the reason a 1-year-old baby cries is because she has experienced that her parents or someone else will take care of her when she cries. He learned this by experimenting naturally. His parents teach him things he shouldn't experience. When the baby approaches a hot object, his parents tell him not to touch it. The parents still know that they cannot persuade their child. She touches her child's hand to a tea spoon or tea glass with a low temperature and says, "Look, did you see?" Because the parents know that what he said is left in the air, they need to convince the child by experimenting and they convince the child with a little experiment.

Experimentation diminishes as children get older, so knowledge stays in the air. The child starts school, at school it is said that the plants are alive, but unfortunately, when a flower is bought and placed by the window, it is not shown that it is directed towards the sun.

Children should be taken to the laboratory, even for a very simple experiment, so that children do not lose their ability to experiment and turn to science. Test apron, test goggles, gloves should be worn, it should be ensured to spend time with experiment materials, and laboratory products and laboratory environment should be loved. The child should want to work in that environment in the future and should like the laboratory environment. Otherwise, it is not easy to make a 20-year-old person love science. Even if we make him love it, we cannot make him or her direct to that profession.

What are the Advantages of Students' Love for Science and Experiment?

  • - They become inquisitive individuals
  • - They are successful academically
  • - They can establish a cause-effect relationship between events.
  • - Their social life improves
  • - They can make sense of natural events more easily

Success Story From Science and Experiments to Nobel

Aziz SANCAR, our Nobel Prize-winning scientist, said in his interviews that he grew up in a nationalist family and has always worked to be beneficial to the Turkish nation and humanity since he was little, and that his interest in science began in his secondary school years. He has stated in every interview that he has worked for these purposes all his life, never giving up, and the pride of carrying the Turkish Flag on his chest.

Raising new Aziz SANCARS is one of our greatest duties. For this, our children should always be ensured to live together with science, they should love science and the importance of science should be explained.

Science and the Corona Virus

To give an example of the Corona virus, which affected the world in 2020; This virus has completely changed daily life in the world in a very short time. Cities were quarantined. New hospitals, new research centers were established. Collective events, matches, schools have been postponed or cancelled. Currently, thousands of scientists are trying to find a vaccine and medicine against this virus. Unfortunately, Turkey is not among the countries that people hope to find a vaccine.

The number of people who believe that this virus was made in a laboratory environment in Turkey -it is an artificial virus- is not at a level to be underestimated. A serious part of the population does not believe that this virus is natural. We do not yet know whether this idea is a conspiracy theory or has a grain of truth. It is believed that a virus produced in a laboratory environment can change the whole world. Like I said, it's just conspiracy theory right now. Scientists say that this disease is transmitted from animals to humans. Despite these explanations of scientists, the number of those who think it is artificial has not decreased much. The good side of this idea shows the Turkish people's belief in the power of science.

We must instill this belief in science in our children.

As Oscar Educational Tools and OscarLab, we set up laboratory systems in educational institutions and respond to all laboratory materials and needs in order to make our students love science. For the safety of our students, we always provide the best quality products and deliver them quickly.
